Among young males aged 13-24 years, 91% of reported HIV disease cases resulted from male-male sexual contact. Sexually transmitted diseases (STD) as well as teen pregnancy are considered surrogate markers for HIV infection. Data from the North Carolina HIV/STD Prevention and Care Branch's 2008 HIV/STD Surveillance Report illustrate the scope of chlamydia and gonorrhea, STDs treatable with antibiotics, in adolescents. If left untreated, these bacteria can lead to infertility later in life. Chlamydia and gonorrhea are predominantly found in younger age groups. For males, the highest rates of chlamydia are consistently found in the 20-24 age group, followed by those age15-19. For females the trend is reversed, with 15-19 year olds

Never in the entire speech does Ron Paul claim the South was right. The main point every other country at the time was able to rid themselves of slavery without killing 600,000 people.

There were other issues such as tariffs on manufactured goods to force the south to buy products from the north rather than cheaper goods from England or France.

All of this is just a speech on the history of the war. The waste of the war. The destruction of the war. I know over 100 years later this doesn't seem like that big a deal. But it was horrible, and unnecessary.

Paul has been talking about those newsletters since the 90s, he discussed them with Blitzer in 2008, and he just spoke to CNN yesterday about them. I would be bored with Borger too.

His comment isn't racist at all.
The truth is, Technology companies owned by African Americans are scarce. Wealthy African Americans typically refuse to invest in these type of businesses.
Now, if he wanted a hair cut, to buy some African American haircare products, or eat some soul food, his chances become a lot better.

A few years ago, a high tech company asked me to find three technology companies to offload work to. They allocated $3M for this task.
At first, I looked from coast to coast for black owned companies qualified to do the work. After 3 months of fruitless searching, I had to give up and select white and Asian owned companies.

Each year, high technology companies who do government work such as Grumman, Lockheed, Electric Boat, Boeing, have a requirement to give 5% of their business to minority owned companies. Each year they fail and never exceed 2%.

I was 15 mins away from the Pennsylvania crash, on the campus of Penn State.The majority of the out-of-state kids were from NY so they had friends and family who worked at the World Trade Center. When the first plane hit the towers I was awaken by banging on my dorm room door from my roommate's friend, who was also from NY. We woke up franticly and turned on the tv. We were in total shock and disbelief. It looked like a shot from Independence Day. We could not believe this was happening in NY. I had classmates who lost friends and family members. Needless to say, classes were canceled that day and grief counselors were on campus later that afternoon. That's a day I will never forget.

The King family deserve this money, especially after all the evidence that government intelligence forces assassinated MLK. Dexter King especially deserves it after writing a forward to attorney William Pepper's book on how the government assassinated MLK. Pepper, a white journalist when he befriended King, spent about 25 years of his life researching the assassination. As an informed voter, I would like to know what drugs, gregahone a comment below as smoking when he said Frank Conaway won the wolb debate! Its spelled Conaway too, get yourself informed! Its not about who wins a debate as far as getting ra ra or laughs, its about who can lead our City. I recently spoke to a high ranking elected official and he told me that Jody Landers is the most qualified and would be the best for the postion, but he started campaigning late and not a lot of people know about him. He went to Morgan, lived in the city all his live, and connects with both white and black voters. Best thing I can say is be an informed voter and Vote Sept 13 o before.

Larry, I have yet to hear any candidate anywhere speak the truth that the conditon of the black community is not only a Baltimore condition, it is a national condition. Every major city (east, west, north or south) are mirror images of Baltimore. Crime, poor education, lack of jobs, unemployment, poor housing, higher rate of incarceration, disease, death, police brutality, misrepresentation by so-called black leaders are evident across these United? States. We need black think tanks to go behind closed doors and first admit the problems exist then come up with a step by step program to eliminate these problems. Number one on the agenda should be changing all public school system curriculums, teach our children along with other children our true history. Let the world know how great we were as a people, tell the truth about our contributions to civilization before and during the exploitation by the European. it seems our so-called leaders are afraid unlike the European Jew, the Gay and the Hispanic leaders who make demands on our Goverment while we wait, again for the crumbs off the table to hit the floor. We need to stop begging and start fixing our own, one day, one word at a time. We did it before, we can do it again! God knows we can!

Senator Young and Coach ! I tentively listen to the Balto Mayoral Debate and Frank Conway won but will never be Mayor, Katherin Pugh looks promissing, but Stephanie Rollins Blake got the white money backing and Otis Rolley was a breath of fresh air. My issue it that they didn't adress the major issue like infrastructure , solar and wind powered homes and schools , police cruption and de valued home in the African American Communitiesand last but not Least How they will Create Real good jobs for the Unemployed College Graduates i the African American Community and Jobs for ex offenders who has paid their debts to society .........Greg North East Baltimore

Facts don't matter-- society is so hair-trigger wired against anyone who says the "N-word" that you might as well admit to talk about "casting a spell" during the Salem witch-trials. The OJ trial proved that you can get away with murder if a cop said it 10 years go, everyone's so on-edge about being perceived as a "racist" that if someone is publicized saying the "N-word" then they might as well shoot themselves or move to a foreign country, because their life isn't worth a plugged nickel and their name is mud from then on.
Americans are wrapped around the littel finger of political correctness, and the hypocrisy is that other groups are completely unprotected despite injurious speech and language being thrown around since it's a "safe prejudice."
If they didn't have double-standards, they wouldn't have any standards at all.
