We can do all those things and still offer support to these girls. The problem is our leaders aren't interested in doing any of it...and, at the same time, aren't interested in doing anything for us either.

As for our basic constitutional rights, they've been gone for a long time. Partly, I think, because technology has made us a more open society and we don't (especially young people) think of privacy and personal responsibility in the same way we used to. It's not so much that our rights have been taken away as it is that we've given them away on a silver platter.

Pretty Sure the Holocaust was en masse. They were sent to concentration camps. Killed. I am not disagreeing its disturbing. It should not be a top priority in another country. If we aren't keeping Iran and N. Korea from arming themselves with nuclear weapons, we aren't intervening when Russia tries to reclaim its former lands as the Soviet Union and we are allowing our government to take away all our civil liberties in defense of 'public safety to prevent terrorism', our priorities are not in the right places.
